THE SHAPE AND FLOW OF A KITCHEN

This is where the room begins: where people enter, where they gather, where they cook, where they pause. The layout, the island, the sightlines - all of it starts here. From the curve of an island to the radius of a corner, the weight of a shelf or the way cabinetry wraps through the space, form decides how the kitchen feels before anything is touched.

02 JOINERY

HOW THE FORM BECOMES STRUCTURE

Cabinetry, drawers, shelves, islands, plinths and storage are resolved as part of one language. Nothing should feel abruptly added. Each element should feel built into the rhythm of the room.

03 MATERIAL

THE SUBSTANCE OF A ROOM

Timber brings warmth. Stone brings permanence. Metal brings depth. Glass brings glow. Lacquer brings softness and reflection. Materials are chosen not just for how they look, but for how they change the feeling of the kitchen.

04 SURFACE

THE TEXTURE AND RHYTHM

Surface is where light moves and hands land. Fluting, reeding, soft gloss lacquer, curved tile, timber grain and woven details give the kitchen tactility and depth. It is the thing the hand finds when it moves along a worktop, or the eye follows down a door.

05 INTERACTION

HOW THE KITCHEN IS USED

Integrated handles, recessed pulls, embedded lighting, the weight of a door on its hinge. These are design decisions, not finishing details. A BOON kitchen should not only look soft. It should behave softly.
The details are not finishing touches. They are where the kitchen becomes BOON.

HOW A PROJECT WORKS

Our process is designed to give shape to the project without overwhelming it. We guide each stage clearly, from early ideas to final installation.

Most BOON kitchens take between ten and eighteen weeks from first conversation to installation. Here is roughly what that looks like.

TIMELINE : 1 WEEKTell us about your room, your location, your timeline and the type of project you are planning.You do not need to have everything ready. Plans, photos, measurements, references or even a loose idea are enough to begin.We review the project and understand what you need from the kitchen: the room, the architecture, how you live, how you cook, where people gather, what needs storing and what feeling the space should hold.

WHAT TO EXPECT

FEWER KITCHENS. DONE PROPERLY

We make a small number of kitchens each year. We do that deliberately. We would rather do fewer things properly than more things quickly.

When you commission BOON, you are not one of many. You are one of a few.

You will have a named person to contact throughout. The proposal you receive will be accurate, not a starting figure that keeps growing. The timeline we give you will be real. The sample pack will show the actual finish, not a better version of it.

We share photography of every completed project and we are proud to credit the designers and architects we work with.

FOR INTERIOR DESIGNERS

We work with interior designers as a making partner.

Bring us a brief, a client and a set of plans. We bring the design thinking, the material knowledge and the workshop. You keep the client relationship.

We do not go around you. We share photography, share credit and communicate through you.
