FROM FEELING TO FORM
THE BOON METHOD
Each piece is shaped through the same sequence of decisions as a complete Boon kitchen: form, joinery, material, surface and interaction. The result is a recognisable Boon piece, resolved for your room.
MADE TO ORDER DOES NOT MEAN OFF THE SHELF.EVERY PROPORTION, JUNCTION AND FINISH IS PART OF THE DESIGN.
HOW A PROJECT WORKS
Our made-to-order service follows a clear sequence from enquiry through design, technical development, making and installation.
Most pieces take approximately eight to twelve weeks from design approval to completion. The programme will depend on the material, scale and complexity of the commission.
Tell us what you need, where it will sit and how it should work.
Send dimensions, photographs, plans and any references you have. We will review the project and provide an initial scope and cost framework.
Where required, we visit the space to confirm dimensions and understand the surrounding architecture.
We then develop the form, proportions, key materials and functional requirements for approval.
The approved concept is resolved for making.
Construction, dimensions, internal fittings, openings, junctions and finishes are documented and agreed before production begins.
The piece is made in our workshop, with any specialist materials and finishes coordinated through trusted partners.
Design decisions remain connected to the making process throughout.
Depending on the commission, the finished piece may be delivered as a complete object or installed on site by the Boon team.
Delivery and installation requirements will be set out clearly in the proposal.

TRADE
FOR INTERIOR DESIGNERS
Made to order allows interior designers to bring a distinctive Boon element into a wider project.
We can develop a piece from your established design direction or work with you to create the focal joinery element within a room.
You retain the client relationship and wider creative direction. We provide design development, material knowledge, technical resolution and making.
Our made-to-order service includes islands, pantries, larders, cupboards, bars, shelving and connected interior joinery.
If you have a particular piece in mind, send us the room information and intended use and we will confirm whether it is suitable for the service.
Made-to-order pieces are bespoke pieces that begin with the established Boon design language and are adapted to your space, materials and functional requirements.
