Delivery + Installation

Every Boon kitchen and piece of joinery is planned for its journey from our workshop into your home. Delivery and installation requirements are considered during technical development, rather than left until the end. Access, sequencing, site conditions and coordination with other trades are agreed before making begins. Your proposal will clearly confirm what is included for your particular project.

Before Delivery

Before delivery, we will confirm the installation programme and any requirements with you, your contractor or interior designer. The room must be secure, dry and ready for the agreed work to begin. Building work should be complete and relevant walls, floors and openings prepared in accordance with the approved drawings. Plumbing, electrical and gas services must be positioned correctly by the appropriate qualified trades. Access routes should be clear and large enough for the cabinetry and equipment being delivered. We will confirm anything project-specific before arrival. Large pieces have opinions about narrow staircases.

delivery

Boon kitchens and joinery are protected and transported by teams experienced in handling fitted furniture and finished materials. We will agree the delivery date, access arrangements and expected arrival window in advance. Please tell us about parking restrictions, permits, lifts, stairs, narrow doorways or other access considerations as early as possible. Additional labour or specialist equipment may be required where access is limited. Delivery costs are calculated according to the project location, scale, access and installation requirements and will be included in your proposal.

Installation

Where installation is included, your kitchen or joinery will be fitted by the Boon team or trusted specialist installers. Cabinetry is positioned, levelled, secured and adjusted in accordance with the approved technical drawings. Doors, drawers, internal fittings and integrated details are checked as part of the installation. Some projects require more than one visit. Worktops, specialist finishes, appliances or final details may be installed at different stages depending on the agreed programme. The installation team will work closely with the wider project team to protect the design intent through to completion.

COMPLETION

At the end of installation, we inspect the cabinetry, alignment, fittings, finishes and operation of moving parts. Any outstanding items are recorded and scheduled for completion. Where work by another trade must happen first, we will return at the appropriate stage to complete the agreed Boon work. Once the project is finished, we will provide relevant care and maintenance guidance for the materials and finishes used.

Delays or additional work may arise if the room is not ready on the agreed installation date or if the site differs from the information and measurements previously provided.

If this happens, we will explain what is required and agree any resulting changes to timing or cost before additional work proceeds.

Clear sites make for calmer installations.

Unless specifically listed in your proposal, Boon installation does not include:

  • Plumbing or gas work
  • Electrical work
  • Appliance connections
  • Tiling
  • Decoration
  • Flooring
  • Structural or general building work
  • Removal of existing kitchens or joinery
  • General site waste removal
  • Work by third-party trades

Where other trades are required, we will provide the information they need and coordinate relevant timings with the project team.

Boon is based in London and delivers and installs projects across the UK. Projects further afield are considered individually. Travel, accommodation, delivery and installation costs will be included clearly within the proposal.
